Consolidator Grant

Consolidator Grant pour les chercheurs - sept à douze ans après la thèse (jusqu’à 2,75 millions d’euros).

Les lauréats se voient ainsi attribuer une bourse allant jusqu’à 2 millions d’euros pour une période de 5 ans maximum. L’excellence scientifique au niveau européen est l’un des principaux critères de sélection.

En 2016, avec 43 porteurs de projets, la France se plaçait en troisième position derrière le Royaume-Uni (58 projets financés) et l’Allemagne (48 projets financés). Plus de la moitié (25) des projets lauréats français étaient accueillis par le CNRS (17 en physique et en ingénierie, 6 en sciences de la vie et 2 en sciences humaines et sociales).

 Sarah Bowen SAVANT (The Aga Khan University) - "Exploring Cultural Memory in the Pre-Modern Islamic World (700–1500). Knowledge, Information Technology, and the Arabic Book".

En 2016 Matteo MARTELLI (Humboldt-Universität Zu Berlin) - "Alchemy in the Making : From ancient Babylonia via Graeco-Roman Egypt into the Byzantine, Syriac and Arabic traditions (1500 BCE - 1000 AD)".
